Saiu na pÁgina do FB da Airfix Model World Magazine:

"NEW AIRFIX TOOLING ANNOUNCED...METEOR F.8!

Fans of the 'Meatbox' will be delighted to learn that one of Airfix's all-new toolings for next year will be a 1/48 Gloster Meteor F.8.

We've seen a development model already and it looks superb.Detailed gun bays and complete engines...and a stand on which to display one of the R-R Derwents outside of the airframe. The colour schemes have yet to be decided, but both will be British.

Of course, there will be en exclusive build of this kit in AMW nearer the release date.
Chris Clifford, Editor"

Infelizmente quem manda nisso é o mercado.

We end this latest edition of Workbench with an update on the much anticipated 1/48th scale Gloster Meteor project. From the feedback that we have already received, this model looks like it has really captured the imagination of modellers around the world and looks destined to be an extremely popular addition to the range. You will therefore be pleased to learn that the model is advancing towards release nicely and we have some exclusive images to show you this week.

From the original Meteor F.8 CAD images that we showed you in Workbench edition 3, it was clear that this new model would include impressive levels of detail, to accompany the already classic shape of the Gloster Meteor in this larger scale. The selection of pre-production model parts pictures we have for you this week illustrate just how good a job the Airfix designers have done with this model and will further serve to increase our expectation levels.

With a scheduled release date of April 2016, the 1/48th scale Gloster Meteor F.8 is already proving to be a real hit and will undoubtedly be a future construction project for many Workbench readers. We hope that you will find these latest images of interest.

This is where I'm at, the fuselage seams have been addressed, I had to carefully glue it bit by bit to get a good joint and i had to coerce it in the middle to avoid a small gap but nothing too untoward.
The wings went together well with minimal clean up but there were some mismatches with the engine nacelles at the front which I've had to fill. (note, the engine covers are just placed loosely on at the moment, although a good fit I had to scrape some plastic from the bottom mating surfaces otherwise they were slightly proud of the rest of the nacelle)

The underside wing to fuselage joint is good as you can see here. (Still to be cleaned up)

The surprising thing was the topside wing to fuselage joint, big gaps which I've shimmed with plastic strip along most of the join.......

The biggest gaps are at the rear where we have separate fillet parts (the parts with raised rivet detail, which incidentally, fitted seamlessly themselves.) Nothing that some plastic strip won't cure though. "
