"As an aeronautical engineer and a keen aviator it is quite clear to me that this was a result of pilot error - the pilot miscalculated the altitude required for the manoeuvre (taking into account the atmospheric conditions on the day) and over-compensated as he tried to pull out of the loop, inducing a high speed stall. Despite this being a result of the pilot's actions, the air show planning committee should also be held to account for allowing aerobatic displays to take place over a busy public road."
"The left wing dives a little just before impact. Airspeed seemed ok. Imho it looks like a high speed stall. I guess the pilot went beyond the envelope of the Hunters performance in order to avoid the ground. I think the "barrel loop" was initiated at to low altitude."
"I mean in the seconds leading up to it. It looks like elevator control goes to neutral for a second and then back on and yes back on hard" That is exactly the behaviour a pilot would show if he is in a stalled airplane - he was trying to pull hard. Stalled airplane needs to be UNstalled in order to become controllable again. So the pilot was trying to extract max performance from the airplane by doing what you described."
