Here’s an interesting kit from Fujimi. This kit comes with both the IJN Battleship Yamato and the IJN aircraft carrier Hosho in 1/700 scale. These kits are intended to be built as they appeared on September 20th in 1941, which is when the picture for the box art was taken. Included with this kit are resin and photo-etched metal detail parts to help recreate the dock scene pictured on the box. The resin parts include little huts, boxes and bags as seen on the deck of the Yamato in the picture. Resin gun turrets and metal barrels for the 18” cannons along with a wooden deck seal for the Yamato are also included. Decals for both the Yamato and Hosho are included as well. Definitely an interesting subject and will make for one great diorama!
