Vejam que bacana o trabalho do Mr. Steve Pilbeam

Hello everyone, this is a small scene depicting the older Italeri B32 ARV and Italeri Willy’s Jeep and trailer. Both kits have been built OOB, The ARV was posted on ML CC some time ago.

The story goes that the lone Jeep driver has accidently run off the road and ended up ditching in a pond. The trailer has tipped up and discarded its load into the water, several ammunition boxes have ended up at the bottom of the pond and other items have floated away.
The driver has managed to salvage some items and having radioed his plight to get help, he sits and awaits the arrival of the recovery team.

On the arrival of the ARV, the tank commander alights and stands with a stern face not very happy at having to recover the jeep whilst more important tasks have to wait. One of the tank crew is expressing a more light hearted approach to the stupidity of the jeep driver, and the gunner strains to hear what the commotion is about. The jeep driver at least offers his tow rope to assist with the recovery!
All figures are Verlinden with slight limb and head modification on a couple of them to get a better fit on the tank.

It was my first time at producing a scene with ‘deep’ water. I first glued two pieces of acrylic plastic at the edge of the scene for the pond sides and then filled this in using Woodland Scenics real water that was poured in small amounts over several days. About half way through I placed the fuel drum and jerry cans into the setting water so they were ‘floating’, although they did sink a little too much. At the’ last’ application several scratch built leaves and reeds and other bits and bobs along with a part of the fence was laid onto the water. However after a few days, the water shrank and so a few more applications of water was applied to bring it up to level, and I had to place a few more pieces on the surface. (Too impatient to wait so I will have to live with this one !). The other vegetation is a mixture of commercial scatter, tree roots, and chopped up moss. Several small rocks were placed around the scene to give the’ rocky road’ look.
All comments are welcome, thanks for looking.

a pirmeira impressão ao ver o diorama é que o nome do mesmo poderia ser "MAS QUE CAGADA MONSTRA!". Deu-me pena. Pensar que deslocaram um baita trator para corrigir a salseira da para imaginar que se o motorista tiver que pagar os danos "na forma da Lei" ele estaria em cana até hoje.

Risos. Abs e obrigado
