Pesquei o seguinte comentário na Model Warships sobre o Wildcat com quatro marcas de vitória.
"Butch was not on board LEX at Coral Sea, and neither was VF-3, though their Wildcats had been turned over to VF-2 which sailed with LEX. Butch was on a rock star tour around the States after he received the Medal of Honor. He returned to Hawaii to say goodbye to the VF-2 CO, a friend of his, before they (VF-2) left on LEX for what would turn out to be Coral Sea. At that time he was able to take F-15, the MoH flight aircraft, up for one last hop before it was turned over to VF-2. No sentimentality when aircraft are in short supply.
The picture of the Wildcat shown in the videos was not F-15, though it was clearly from VF-3 because of the Felix emblem. F-15 had five kill flags. The Wildcat in the photo looks as though the aircraft number had been changed - the original number perhaps painted out under the circular patch of darker paint. Looks like the number showing is a 3 or possibly a 5.
